After a lot of experience with clinical trials at Karolinska Institutet Chemalys was formed as a CRO in 1997 performing Bioanalytical services with Mass Spectrometry. During this time all MS-training of new customers to Micromass/Waters in the Nordic countries was performed by Chemalys. Even if the CRO was certified according to GLP we had to close it down because of political decisions made by the big Pharma's.

Chemalys continued with MS-training and also sales of software for ACD/Labs, here with a lot of effort both on MS and NMR.

In 2006 Chemalys started again to work more with Mass Spectrometry performing method development, method implementation and also DART/Tof & LC/MS/MS analysis. Chemalys has also been a part of evaluating new software. Chemalys have been working partner with companies like Waters, Thermo, Jeol, Agilent and PerkinElmer.

Today Chemalys works in the whole Mass Spectrometry field as well as selling software for NMR.

• For applications, Jan Nordin joins the new Danish company epizell as senior Application Chemist
